Do you have a favourite book about anti-colonialism or one that fits the “burn it all down” feeling?

A Steeping of Blood is out in paperback now since April 1st and it’s the perfect time to get your dose of anti-colonialism, vampires and tea shop mesh all in one while finishing this series if you’ve read A Tempest of Tea!👀

This is one of my favourite sub-genre (if it can be called that😂) as it literally is rage combined with so many fantasy elements! Most of the books I’ve read that fit in here are in the Fantasy genre and usually include a combination of rage, anti-colonialism and folklore sometimes too. A Steeping of blood is an example and is book 2 in the Blood and Tea series and guys? This is one of my TOP book of all times after finishing it late 2025, it was SOOOO good

Overall, the series consists of Vampires, a Tea shop and anti-colonialism with sprinkles of rage and it’s done SO well! I did enjoy book one and definitely recommend is but A Steeping of Blood has a special place in my heart, despite the heartbreak it caused😂🥹 I fear you will all be hearing me gushing about this book till the end of time and if you’ve read it let me know what you thought
